anonymity

To not have a name is to not exist. Anonymity, then, is not namelessness, it is having many names.

If you have two names and people know, when you are operating under one of them, that you also operate under the other, you are not anonymous. You still only have one name, the name this and that. At the same time, to in fact have two names you must still be a singular you. You must be able to operate under the two names from one account. I recently figured out, after much difficulty, how to create a second, separate Blogger account, but it turns out it does me no good, because it is too much trouble, too much confusion, to switch between one account and another.

As your name trustees, we know that you have several names, but it is our sacred trust to not reveal this to anyone other than ourselves. (It is your duty, within this context, to operate within the rules of our arrangement. If you do not, the contract is nullified, but we must be very careful with this exception.)
