Tetrazini

As it got late in the afternoon I was starting to work on dinner
harvesting lettuce, tidying up breakfast and lunch dishes
slicing some bread. Sweeping, taking out the dust bin.
I was taking frequent breaks to write and smoke and drink.
After she got home I put the Turkey Tetrazini left over from Thanksgiving in the oven
and made the salad
pouring over olive oil from Queen Creek from the old bottle with its wine cork
and the most succulent wine vinegar, that is, Whole Foods, 365
and the sea salt, and the fresh ground pepper ...
in the glass bowl, with Martha's little salad servers.
I washed and set the table, with the finest Ikea service

the butter dish
my beer.
